We have a ROOM SHARE thread in our group that you can post looking for roommates if you have booked a room. Or you can post looking for a room to share with others if you have not booked a room.

Room sharing is a great way to reduce your overall event costs as well as meet new friends. Make a post about you and what you are looking for and see what connections fit your needs.

We recommend starting this process before event registration opens as the rooms vary in size & bed types, check out the ROOMS INFO available in our group of above in the previous question. Remember, this event is planned to be more like an intimate social gathering and we will be limiting the number of rooms available as well as the number of attendees.

You will tell the towel attendant how many towels you want and you will scan your room wristband.  When you leave the water park area, you MUST return your towels and scan your band again. Any towels not returned will be charged to your room. 

Note that the towels provided in the water park are fairly small and you are welcome to bring your own beach towels if you would prefer.

NO, there is a coffee maker and a mini-fridge in all rooms. However, there are no microwaves in the rooms, nor are any personal cooking or heating appliances allowed. If needed, there is a microwave in the “ice machine” room.

We have negotiated a reduced rate of $10 per day per vehicle to park.

You are charged a $6 toll fee to use the bridge driving northbound on I-95 or eastbound on Rt 40. There is no fee for using the bridge driving southbound on I-95 or westbound Rt 40.

The Baltimore Washington Airport (BWI) and the Philadelphia Airport (PHL) are the closest airports to the event hotel. The Lodge is located almost equal distance from both airports.

The Baltimore Washington Airport is approximately 50 miles from The Lodge. With a drive time ranging from 50 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on traffic.

The Philadelphia Airport is approximately 55 miles from The Lodge. With a drive time ranging from 55 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on traffic.

The Lodge does not provide transportation from either airport so you will need to carpool, use ride share, or book a shuttle to/from the airport.

Carpooling with other attendees from your area is always a great way to share costs and reduce the number of cars coming to the event even if you do drive. Visit the groups CARPOOLING thread if you want to look to carpool with others.

Amtrak has 2 stops that might be suited for those that live along the east coast close to an Amtrak station. The Newark, Delaware Station is approximately 20 miles from The Lodge. And the Aberdeen, Maryland Station is approximately 10 miles from The Lodge.

Ride share services such as Uber or Lyft are also options in the area. They can also be gotten from either of the major airports or from the Amtrak stations.

A PayPal Pool (also called a Money Pool) is a service that allows a person to easily collect money from a group of friends, family, or others for a shared purpose, such as group purchases, shared experiences, or special events. It is designed to simplify the process of collecting funds up front for things like group gifts, travel, or event registration fees.

The entire amount collected in the pool is owned by and belongs to the pool creator (organizer).

Key Information About PayPal Pools

• Purpose: Pools are typically used to collect funds for group gifts, travel, social events, club activities, or shared expenses. Pools cannot be used to raise money for charity or for other fundraising purposes.

• Cost to Create: It is free to set up a pool.

• Cost to Contribute: There is generally no cost to contribute if using a PayPal balance or a linked bank account (in the US). Fees may apply for credit or debit card transactions or international contributions.

• Contributors: Pool organizers can invite any friend or family member to contribute, even if the person does not have a PayPal account.

• Tracking: Organizers can set an optional goal amount and track the running total of contributions, separate from their personal PayPal balance.

• Anonymity: Contributors can choose to hide their name and/or the amount from everyone else in the group; however, the pool creator will always see the contributor's name and the amount.

• Using the Funds: The organizer can transfer the collected funds to their PayPal balance to spend instantly for event-related expenses.
